Welcome to Long Island Coral. My name is Al, a few years ago I decided to create the Long Island Coral website for the purpose of meeting others who share an interest in captive reefkeeping. After many years of successful reefkeeping I have found that under the right conditions corals can grow quite rapidly, and must be cultivated as so not to intrude on other corals growing on the reef. This brings us to another reason for creating Long Island Coral. We feel that in providing you with healthy tank raised corals, that we are in some very small way doing our part to protect the natural reefs of this planet. Since the more tank raised corals that are available to reefkeepers, the less impact the hobby will have on our natural reefs. Please feel free to Email us as we are happy to answer any questions that we can, and to share with you the knowledge we have in keeping a successful captive reef system.
