Welcome to Our Reef System.
Our system consists of multiple tanks and sumps all piped together totaling over 600 gallons. It all started in August of 2002 when I received a phone call from my wife telling me that I was going to be a daddy. The next thing she told me was a real shocker, and that was that I was going to be the father of triplets !!!! Well in days to follow I decided that I must get started building the babies bedroom, and finishing our own master bedroom. Since there was a small reef tank in each of these rooms I decided to combine them into one large tank located in our living room. Well just like they say "you cant eat just eat one potato chip", the same seems to be true with reefkeeping. Once you start you just can't seem to stop ! Well it's all history from there. Sumps
All Tanks are piped into (2) sumps. The 180 gallon tank, 54 Gallon tank, and 75 Gallon refrugium tank's drain into the main 50 Gallon Sump with 50 lbs of Fiji Live Rock. The 175 Gallon Frag Tank drains into a 70 Gallon sump with a 3" aragonite / Live rock bottom, which gravity drains back to the 50 gallon main sump. Although the sumps are 8' from each other they are piped and leveled as so to act as one large sump ! Both sumps have 23 Watt 50/50 Power Compact Coralife Aqualite lighting and are also home to 4 different species of caulpera's.

Kent Marine Hi-S Maxxima 60 Gallon per Day Reverse Osmosis / Deionization Unit Piped into a 7 gallon holding container. Water level is maintained by a Kent Marine Float. 6.5 Gallons of Make up water per day is automatically added by the Litermeter III in the form of Kalkwasser.
Water Changes are done weekly with 44 Gallon Rubbermaid container, with water level maintained by a Kent Marine float.
